Description:

Tobacco pipe made of clay with oval Gouda bowl, heel and double wound clay stem with smooth cut of stem end. Bowl on both sides embossed coats of arms of the cities Amsterdam and New York, bowl on the stem side three-master with full sails including the year "1609" and reverse side the Dutch lion. Inscription "THE HOLLAND SOCIETY OF NEW YORK" and bowl reverse "FOUNDED 1885" and "EINDELYK WORDT A SPRUIT EEN BOOM" (finally a sprout becomes a tree).
