Description:

Tabakspijp van shakudo met kiseru model met trechtervormige ketel, zonder hielmarkering over in een rechte steel met licht trompetvormig mondstuk. Steel vijf verdikkingen die bamboeschijven voorstellen, details met goud aangezet, steel halverwege ingelegde bamboescheuten in zilver aan een gegraveerd takje, de ketel en het steeleind eveneens van zilver. Steel bovenzijde ingeslagen merkje met in contour Japanse karakters, de achtergrond met goud fond.

Catalogustekst: TWO SHAKUDŌ AND GOLD KISERU (PIPES) AND A SHAKUDŌ AND SILVER KISERU (PIPE) Meiji (1868-1912) or Taisho (1912-1926) era, late 19th/ 20th century. Comprising a shakudō pipe formed as a stalk of bamboo, incised on the body with a stalk of young bamboo, the leaves in flush-inlaid silver, with an illegible seal.
